A downloadable tool for Windows

This console application searches for YouTube channels based on specific keywords and filters them by subscriber count. It outputs the results as a .md file in the same folder as the .exe.

It can be useful for finding Youtubers that played games similar to yours and who therefore might be willing to make a video on your game. (Marketing, am I right?)

This project was started because of this Reddit post and it handles the third step to be precise.

Requirements:

You simply need a Youtube API key for it to work. Tutorial on how to get one here.

How to install:

  1. Download the "YCF.zip" file
  2. Extract the "YCF" folder
  3. Run the .exe and follow the instructions that are given.

(Note: The "config.txt" is important, keep it in the same folder as the .exe)

Source code:

You can check out the source code here but be warned that I didn't write in Python for a long time so the code is about as messy as it gets.
